Councillor for Stoke Bishop
Peter Abraham is Bristol's most experienced Councillor. He has held most senior post in the Council a committee Chairman, executive member, Group Leader and Deputy Leader of Council. Peter has served as Lord Mayor a record three times.
As a Councillor, Peter represents the views of his constituents with honesty and integrity at all times. He is always available to listen to the views of his electorate, and deals with constituency enquiries in a timely manner. Peter's experience has contributed to many problems being solved right across Bristol.
Peter is the Chairman of Avon Fire Authority and Bristol's Public Rights of Way Committee. He is the longest serving member of the Downs Committee. Peter also holds a number of National positions and is a member of Bristol's Licensing Team.
Peter and his wife Pearl have been married 52 years live locally. In their spare time they enjoy travelling and going to the theatre. Peter served as a Board member of the Bristol Old Vic and currently a director of the Bristol Cultural Partnership. They have a Grand Child, Mona and two sons. Sadly their youngest son, Nick, was killed in a road accident.
