Conservatives seek commitment over future of the swing bridge!

Conservative Councillor Graham Morris has tabled a motion for next week’s meeting of the Full Council which calls on the Mayor to give an assurance that ‘baring genuine safety considerations’ the Prince Street swing bridge will eventually reopen to motorists once its repair programme is complete.

Tory motion on rail set to get debated.

The campaign for increased rail investment in South Bristol has received a boost with a Conservative motion originally tabled for debate by city councillors last March, finally being given the opportunity to be heard at the Full Council meeting on Tuesday 15th December.  It was successful in a ballot for second place on the Agenda paper.
