Saving Grimsbury Farm

Cllr Sam Bromiley visiting Grimsbury Farm

Councillors have launched a petition to save Grimsbury Farm in Kingswood as fears have emerged over its future.

Thank you to over 1,600 residents in supporting the petition in which during the full South Gloucestershire Council budget, the Conservative Group put forward an amendment to help secure the future of the farm and to stop the scheduled removal of animals from June 2025.  Along with a number of other amendments, these were rejected by the Liberal Democrat/Labour Council.

The Conservative opposition group on South Gloucestershire Council understands that the Liberal Democrat/Labour coalition is currently considering the future of Grimsbury Farm, with the farm potentially either being sold or permanently closed.

In response, the Conservative Group has launched a petition urging the administration to make a commitment to keeping the farm open.
